Report - CL23 North Atlantic climate variability (co-listed in OS)
Report
The CL23 session was well attended with only few free places left during most of the talks. The lecturing room was well-choosen and technical facilities as well as (computer)assistence functioned very well. As the only (co)convener having been present, I felt, however, that time for discussion was often too short. Therefore, I suggest to emphasize in the guidelines some "official" 5 (?) minutes reserved for discussion, with a clear instruction not to use these "free" minutes for a longer presentation. For EGU Wien 2006 the session title/topic is under consideration to be (slightly) revised with a stronger focus on the link between North Atlantic thermohaline circulation variability and Arctic (pre-instrumental) climate change.
